You must connect through the proxy server (a computer that is specially designed to authenticate users) to access library databases from off-campus. When you click a link for a database on the library website you will be prompted to sign in with your Gettysburg College username and password. Use the same ones you use to connect to the college network or log into email. 

Note: To be properly authenticated off-campus, you must click on database links from the library webpage, A-Z list, or research guides. If you try to go directly to a database (like JSTOR, for instance) or click on a link from a Google search, you may not be able to get past the paywall. 

 

Off-campus access to most library databases is available to Gettysburg College students, faculty, and staff only. Persons not affiliated with Gettysburg College may access our databases from within the library only.
