Access JSTOR.

Please keep in mind that JSTOR does not include the most recent issues of journals, and JSTOR is not the only publisher from whom we buy fulltext journals.  To definitively discover whether Musselman Library has access to a particular journal title, use the Find a Journal option within MUSCAT Plus (search by journal title - not article title!).

To definitively discover research articles on a specific topic, search the appropriate research database for that discipline (Historical Abstracts or America: History & Life for History, MLA Bibliography for English, etc.).  JSTOR is a wonderful resource, but it's not our best search platform.  Most of the time, we encourage you to DISCOVER articles using research databases and RETRIEVE FULLTEXT using JSTOR when appropriate.

[That said, there is always an exception to the rule.... JSTOR can be effective at searching for needles in haystacks, for example!]

Please see a librarian if you have questions.  We can advise you regarding the most effective research tool for your topic.  It might be JSTOR (we love JSTOR!), but it might be something else.
