Normally if you are just using Google to find databases, journals, articles, or ebooks that are part of library subscriptions, you will not be able to access these resources. Nearly all library resources require you to either be on-campus or login via our proxy server with your Gettysburg network username and password.
The best way to access databases is via our Database A-Z list. For journals, journal articles, and ebooks, use MUSCAT Plus. Resources linked from here will send you to login through the proxy server first, ensuring access. If we do not have the material you are looking for, you can use interlibrary loan to request an article or scan of a chapter.
You can also download and install the LibKey Nomad browser extension. LibKey Nomad works by searching the webpage you are viewing for citations to scholarly articles (specifically the DOI or PMID number). If a DOI or PMID is found, LibKey provides a button to connect you to the full-text article if it is available. If the LibKey Nomad button takes you to a resource that is not available via the library, you can still request it via interlibrary loan.
