Using permalinks (stable URLs) from MUSCAT Plus and library databases are recommended for sharing links to library e-resources in Moodle.
Below is an example of how to find the permalink in MUSCAT Plus:
- Locate the item you wish to link to. Click on the record.

- On the next screen, click on Permalink in the upper left-hand side. Click COPY THE PERMALINK TO CLIPBOARD. This copies the stable URL.
3. Follow the directions posted in the IT department Moodle Knowledge Base for linking URLs in Moodle: https://it.sites.gettysburg.edu/knowledge-base/adding-web-links-to-a-moodle-course/.
You may also need to locate the permalinks for resources found in our library databases.
EBSCO database example:
- Locate the item you wish to link to. Click on the title.
- On the next screen, click the arrow icon (Share) in the upper right-hand side.
- Click Create link. Then follow the same directions posted in the IT department Moodle Knowledge Base: https://it.sites.gettysburg.edu/knowledge-base/adding-web-links-to-a-moodle-course/
